April 16, 2008 The day after tax day, ugh...I think everyone was dreading sealing with the federal government even if they were getting a refund. What a mess... Today I thought I would share my newest tag collection. I've been working like crazy on all kinds of tags. Like...
Okay, so the butterfly is a little scary. And, yes, that
is me under the dunce cap. How much fun can you have with yourself and
your old kid pictures!?!
This is just the tip of the iceberg! What else am I working on? Well I started on a fabric project but will keep it to myself until a little bit later... April 17, 2008 Wow! Two posts in two days, whooppee!! Had to show a pic or two of my new fabric project.
This has been in my closet forever. It looks a bit grey here but it is a black silk men's jacket from about the 1950's-ish. I did wear it once upon a time and it was lots of fun. Roll up the sleeves, over black pants, in the evening all dressed up with jewelry. These days I've brushed alot of dust off of it as it languishes in my closet. Out it came the other day and now it is starting to look like this...
The face was being tested out here to make sure it was centered and looked right.
Here she is with the beginnings of her hair.
And with a little more, ready for basting into place. That is the next step. Hand basting all the edges so it all lays flat against the body of jacket. Let's see how it goes! |
